Masala Toast Sandwich
My recipe deals with Mumbai Street Food, apna Toast Sandwich. My version of toast sandwich is solely my creation. What I mean to say is, I don’t think anywhere you would have felt this kind of taste in a toast sandwich. My family loves this version and so here it goes,

Pre – preparation
Preparation
Assembling
Heat tawa.* Keep the sandwich on the tawa for roasting. Apply ghee when the bread is half roasted. The ghee will leave a nice aroma. Cut into triangle shape with a pizza cutter or a sharp knife.
Serve hot with chutney, ketchup or anything you like.

Notes for items marked as star (*)
I don’t really use ACTUAL teaspoon and table spoon measurements available in market. I use a big spoon for tablespoon and a small spoon for teaspoon. The measurements will come approximate but still it will taste as good as it is seen in the pic J
Chilli-Ginger paste we keep at home as we use in many items. You can grind it fresh by taken 2 spicy chillies and small piece of ginger and mash in a mixer. The paste should be coarse.
Green chutney was prepared by using 1 bunch of coriander leaves. 1-2 spicy green chili, a bit of ginger, salt to taste, jeera – 1 tsp, and roasted peanuts 2 tsp.
I put only masala in the bread, but if you want to eat typical Mumbai street sandwich, then you will have to add some sliced onions, capsicum.
I had prepared on tawa because I love it that way. But mostly it is prepared in toaster.
